I quit one of my longstanding medications a few weeks ago. I suspected it was causing a til-now unnoticed side effect, talked with my doctor, and switched to something in a different drug class. My instincts served me well. Making the switch not only alleviated the one side effect I was concerned about, but it also improved other aspects of my overall well-being, things I hadn’t realized were being impacted. It’s produced a seismic shift in how this meat sack of mine is operating. I feel more like myself than I have in years. It’s exhilarating.
The only downside to the new drug is that it is playing havoc with my sleep patterns. The sleep issue should eventually subside, according to the literature, but a couple of weeks of substandard sleep have finally caught up with me, and I am fried. So here: have a dramatic photo of one of my plants.
