Things are slowly finding their new homes.
This ship clock was my grandfather’s. When I was a kid, I would sometimes go into the spare bedroom at his house, where it sat on a dresser, to look at it. He gave it to me about 15 years ago. It’s accompanied me from apartment to apartment, house to house, ever since. It’s one of my very favorite things.

Here’s a snippet from the thing I’m working on:
Cynthia came down the stairs, a mug of coffee in each hand. “You’re not a werewolf, are you?” I asked her.
“What a curious form of pillow talk.” She handed me a mug. Goofy’s face was printed on it, along with a dialogue balloon that read, Ah-hyuck! Steam radiated up from the mug as though Goofy’s soul were leaving his body.
“It’s where my brain goes when I see a moon phases calendar.”
“Or maybe,” she said, sitting down beside me, “I just like to look at the stars.” She nodded to her right. Across the room stood a telescope mounted on a tripod. A pair of blue underwear was draped over it.
“Oh.”
